Hello Family and Friends-

I am so excited for the opportunity to participate in Skate for Hope.  Skate for Hope utilizes figure skating, a sport that epotimizes women's strength, to help bring attention, resources and education to fight breast cancer. 

This will be my first time skating in Skate for Hope!  I have been ice skating for about 2 years, and have been inspired to do this by my teacher,Tera Zorn, who will also be participating in the program.  I want to do this not only for the fun experience of skating in a big ice arena with professional skaters, but also to honor all who have experienced this disease, either personally or as a relative or friend.  My family has also been touched by cancer, and we know how hard it is to fight this battle.

The show will take place at Nationwide Arena in downtown Columbus and will feature local skaters of all ages as well as world class skaters.  As a performer, I will help raise research funds by having my performance sponsored.  The proceeds are donated to the Stephanie Spielman Fund at the Ohio State University James Cancer Center and the Vera Bradley Foundation for breast cancer.
